Silver Creek Internship
The Silver Creek Preserve Internship provides an opportunity for a high school graduate or college student to work in the field of conservation and specifically support The Nature Con- servancy’s (TNC) work at the pre- serve. The Intern will work under the direct supervision of experienced TNC staff, and most of the work will be done outdoors in the field, some- times in inclement weather condi- tions. The Intern will assist with trail and boardwalk maintenance, public outreach, visitor services, educa- tional programs, weed control (including herbicide application), light gardening and grounds mainte- nance, facilities maintenance, and other preserve-activities. The intern- ship includes seven hours per week dedicated to planning and complet- ing an independent conservation project developed with staff support. The goal of this internship is to pro- vide an inspiring and meaningful ex- perience working on conservation at the Preserve and in the region.
