Sun Valley Community School is
seeking a dynamic Upper School History Teacher. This position in- cludes teaching grade-level History classes and advanced history elec- tives. This is a full-time teaching position, with benefits, beginning August 11, 2025. Additional duties will include serving as a student ad- visor, participating in the school's extensive Outdoor Program, and engaging in additional Upper School extracurricular activities. For the right candidate, the position could also include Residential Life responsibilities and housing. The successful candidate will be an experienced educator with at least a bachelor's degree, possess a deep understanding of the develop- mental range within the Upper School population, and also be sup- portive of the school's commitment to delivering on our mission every day. Ideal candidates should have a healthy sense of humor, be flexi- ble in their approach, and find joy in their work. They should be organ- ized and creative with a commit- ment to motivate and inspire stu- dents to achieve their personal best. Candidates should also work collaboratively with faculty and communicate clearly with parents. seeking a Learning Specialist to join the Learning Support Depart- ment for the 2025-2026 school year. The successful candidate must have a love for working with adolescents, commensurate skills, and demonstrate a willing and flexi- ble approach to education. Responsibilities include conducting supported classroom sessions, evaluating and providing direct sup- port and instruction to students with identified needs, and working to strategically support the general education faculty through the imple- mentation of each enrolled student's Accommodation Plan.
